What is Manual Therapy?
"Manual therapy" is an integrated hands on approach to address underlying cause rather than symptoms.
Assessment is done to identify strain patterns that are a result of injury, postural strain or repetitive motion. Path of injury, trauma can be held for decades in the body holding at a connective tissue, fluid and nervous system level .Body builds compensation around these strain patterns to manage the disturbance created
by the injury. Please refer to "about us" for more details.
How many sessions do I need?
Number of treatments is dependent on the extent of injury, how long ago the injury was, or how long the symptoms have been present and how many systems are involved. Typically 8-12 sessions are recommended. It is to be understood that this is an estimate only.
What Insurances do you take?
Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross & Blue Shield, Connecticare, Husky up to 21 years of age, United Health Care,
Medicare, Workers Compensation and Motor Vehicle accident cases.
We can provide services as out of network providers for other insurance companies
Private Pay option is available.
What forms of payment do you take?
Cash, Checks, Visa, Master Card, Discover
What is the referral process for physical Therapy?
You would need a prescription for PT before yo caome to the ebvaluation.
Your insurance policy might NOT require a referral, however state regulations are different. Please review the below.
The state of Connecticut allows you to have up to 6 visits within 30 consecutive days without a prescription for therapy. However some insurance companies DO NOT recognize this and will NOT cover the cost of therapy without a prescription. Prescription can be faxed to 203-271-1241.
What do I need to bring to the initial appointment?
Please bring with you:
•insurance card , Photo ID •prescription including Diagnosis, frequency, treatment (PT evaluate a ndTreat) •co-payment, deductible or co-insurance •list of any medications (that you are presently taking) •calendar (for making future appointments) •completed Patient forms, if you are able to download from this site (please click on “Forms” on home page)
What is your Cancellation policy?
There is a $40 cancellation fee for appointments cancelled within 24 hours.
