Myofascial Release

Fascia is the connective tissue that surrounds, supports and envelops the whole body structures head to toe, top to bottom and front to back.

Chronic postural stresses/strains, asymmetries, gravitational pulls, micro or macro trauma (whether internally or externally induced), repetitive movements, inflammation, can all lead to alterations of the fascial anatomy and cellular changes.  The myofascial strain patterns can affect the joints, cause impingement of the nerves, blood vessels and fluid exchange at the tissue level.

Since myofascial strain cannot be detected by radiological testings (X-Rays, MRIs, etc), and the understanding of it is limited, many people with myofascial pain syndromes do not receive the appropriate diagnosis and do not respond to traditional interventions.
